Happy 2nd Birthday!!!
Mother of an Angel
I lost my first born baby girl 2 years ago today,
I had her for 9 beautiful months and than sadly she was taken away.
To loose your own child seems so unfair,
How could a Man take something so beautiful, so wanted so rare?
Its so bittersweet I guess, to be the Mother of an angel.
God sent me a baby to make me smile,
And that she did, though it seemed such a short while.
Though I do feel so blessed in a way, see Im the Mother of an angel,
Just let me explain.
When someone is in pain, in worry or in doubt,
They pray Dear God please send an angel my way
Its My little girl that comes to be by their side.
To comfort them, keep them, and hold them with stride.
Dear God please send an angel to be with me today
And here comes My Skylee to brighten their day.
Dear God send an angel to watch over my child as he sleeps
And there is My angel your child she keeps.
Dear God how my heart aches
And My little girl helps mend that heart, what happiness she makes.
Im the mother of an angel, so proud yet so torn
I dont know weather to gloat or to mourn.
How is it that I could be one of chosen few Mothers
Why couldnt I just have a big happy family like so many others?
Because I'm a mother to an Angel, some body has to do it.
And though my heart aches, and how I miss her day after day,
I know all I need to do is pray,
And here comes My Skylee, God will always send her my way.
I must be someone very strong,
to be a chosen one, He knew I could carry on.
I lost a piece of my heart with her that day,
I know she keeps it with her as she goes on her way.
I'm the Mother to an angel,
its a difficult job you see,
but I know that my angel is always there to watch over me.
